Your Challenge:


We challenge you to take an active role in working with our agile research group (Philips Lighting Research North America) to help build the eyes of a smart city.

Your Responsibilities:

We believe blockchain is a nascent technology that seems like a match made in heaven for the smart cities of the future, where the Internet of Things (IoT) will interconnect “all” things in such a way as to make them intelligent, programmable, and more capable of interacting with humans and each other. Will you help us explore this with our talented team of researchers?Our offer:We are offering an opportunity to work with our R&D systems.


We are looking for:


  • Graduate level student (PhD preferred) in computer science or an engineering related discipline.
  • Proven background in blockchain, security and other related disciplines.
  • Experience with public key encryption, p2p network, ledgers, etc (with proof-of-work) required.
  • Hands-on experience preferred (multichain, etc).
  • Ability to work in a team setting with researchers and contribute innovative ideas.
  • Ability to communicate in English effectively, both verbally and written.
