Recommended Viewing: Industrial Revolution (The Hollowing of The Middle Class) (youtube.com)
Mankind is on the brink of a new industrial revolution. Some say it has already started. As with previous industrial revolutions the world around us will fundamentally change.

When the first industrial revolution kicked in, people took advantage of steam power for manufacturing. Factories opened for the first time. But this destroyed jobs as human labor was replaced with steam machines. Meanwhile, The middle class in many parts of the world is suffering, and mostly being pushed down the social ladder leading to a divide and inequality. The advancement of technology, as in the 4th industrial revolution, may lead to massive jobs losses, like in the middle class.

Francisco Gimeno - BC Analyst Those who think capitalism need the middle class don't understand how middle class is eroding and changing in the 4th IR. The "classes" (a division made in the last IR) are going to change. The new class divide will be between a digital class (with elites and digital middle class empowered by their digital skills), and a mass which will fall behind. Paradigm's change means that we can't fully grasp what the new era is bringing, both in technologies and social changes and disruptions. What can we do? Prepare ourselves and our descendants for social change, new jobs, new ways, fighting for empowerment and inclusivity while minimising the human disruption. This is not happening in the future. It is happening now.
