After Facebook announced it's name change to "Meta", metaverse news exploded in popularity. 2021 was also a banner year for NFTs, as their popularity exploded (in certain niche circles). Francisco Gimeno - BC Analyst Among the industries playing with the concepts and the idea of Metaverse, auto nd mobility industries are thinking big. The examples in this podcast, the BMW playing with Nvidia's "Omniverse" to design cars or even whole production plants, or Hyundai playing with "Metamobility" ("where space, time and distance are irrelevant") are really cool and exciting. Mix it with NFTs (the good and the bad about it) and the result is this: big ideas and big goals are fine, but the proof of concept must be to earn money from them. We will probably see this with the time, when Metaverse slowly passes from being a concept towards being a tech used every day.
