The consequences are many and cross-cutting, with great impact on our health. However, the rise of the machine raises unprecedented challenges, even the possibility of the extinction of Humankind itself.

Yes, one century ago they forecasted we would have flying cars. But this time, unless real bad Black Swans happen or George Orwell dystopia happens, technology will have tronaspfromed our lives so much and in ways we don't even understand now. Could you imagine a smart phone only 20 years ago? The transformations ahead of us are accelerating and consequences will be significant. This is going to happen even without the appearance of the Singularity, which will be even a huger transformation. Well, realism indicates us that not everything will be nice and rosy. We hope is not the bad path, dark, horrible. Probably we will see something in the middle as we continue to be humans, biologically very little changed from reacting on threats like a prehistoric man, while having a brain which is tremendously adapted to be resilient and strong. In any case, is the history of Humanity and our common conscience of humanness. Many of us won't be there by then, but we feel one with them following our steps.
