Crypto, NFTs, and the metaverse are all words referring to what many say is going to be the next iteration of the internet. But it’s also a world filled with exploitation, scammers and outright theft. Given the recent collapse of the crypto market, can the utopian vision for Web 3.0 survive?

Francisco Gimeno - BC Analyst The context of this podcast, a bear market in the middle of free fall makes many believe that the statement of crypto being mainly a scam is totally true. And they may be right too. As this first crypto iteration is really full of scams and projects which are shone now a lack of fundamentals and even ineptitude. But let's remember, as we have said many, many times, that this is a normal stage of any new landscape where humans explore new territories. Think about the Wild West, which is the best comparison to crypto now, and what happened when the railways came to it, and how everything was transformed, not always for better. The same with crypto. The bearish market will, hopefully (yes, hopefully!) eliminate what is just useless weight, and new better, leaner, more organised, better regulated spaces will come to be. And remember, while prices are important to investors, both retailers and institutions, but we, believers, have this in mind: 1 BTC is always equivalent to 1 BTC, and the same with any real alt coin. Those who want to understand, will, the rest will continue fretting about winning and losing.
