Francisco Gimeno - BC Analyst Once again, the ugly face of fraudsters, scammers and hackers in the digital arena. The warning from FBI is clear, but anyone who continually uses Linkeding may have seen this type of criminal schemes where shadowy people offer make-you-rich-quick investments, or offer you a place in an "international conference" but please send us... or just try to sell you non existent commodities from non existent people. Fraudsters are very clever, and many are attracted to easy money, without verifying first documentation, physical existence of companies or people, comments from other people, etc. Fraudsters use also many profiles and different ideas. It's an issue at Linkedin which should revise how to verify users. An example: someone may have in the profile "I am the financial controller of ABCXXX Company". Even if the company itself denounces this to Linkedin as not being true, nothing happens. This is bad for the credibility of Linkedin itself but also for those companies which have nothing to do with fraudsters.
