Watch: Dutch protesters are 'hitting back' at the 'madness' (youtube.com)
Sky News host James Morrow says the Netherlands in pursuit of its own "green dreams" is now "cracking down" on family farms – which has seen protesters hit back at the "madness".

"The Netherlands, which in pursuit of its own green dreams of lowered carbon and now nitrogen emissions, is cracking down on family farms," Mr Morrow said.

Mr Morrow said this is leading to protests across the nation and "empty supermarket shelves".

Farmers are protesting around the Netherlands over the government’s new policy which would see the country slash nitrogen oxide and ammonia emissions by 50 per cent by 2030.

Mr Morrow said protesters are "hitting back at this madness".

Francisco Gimeno - BC Analyst These news from Netherlands are worrying because it shows again the lack of trust from one side, the farmers, and the lack of transparency on the politicians and so called experts. Farmers are joining points and agreeing that this new laws are against common sense, a result of wrong policies inspired by the WEF, and they have to fight for this not to happen. The government says is not like that, but it's worried abut a country where the level of Nitrogen emissions are not compatible with a proper healthy natural environment middle and long term. Who are on the right and who is wrong? We are already seeing how, despite these events disrupting the whole country, has been basically watched only on social media up to now, like the traditional media doesn't want us to know about it. We are not also Chemistry or Agricultural experts, so we can't even speculate about the problems of too much Nitrogen emissions. But farmers are the backbone of any State. Without them food is not produced. If they also stop the country's logistic arteries, and disrupt even airports, the situation is becoming serious, and with danger of contagion to other European State with other similar issues where normal citizens are already very wary of politicians, civil servants etc. This may happen tomorrow in Italy, or Spain, or in France, anywhere. If it is an awakening or a step back into populism we will see after some time.
