Francisco Gimeno - BC Analyst Interesting research and fact finding of what is happening at Sri Lanka, when one of the main reasons for the actual chaos is the complete mismanagement, embedded corruption, and the fact that those who have led the country for many years belong to the same family or clan. When the government means nepotism, without any thinking about the development of the nation and its citizens. A reality when not many years ago it was a country lauded for develop its economy and liberating people from poverty, all disappearing when the politicians at the head of the country committed to many mistakes to count, and corruption continued. The Russian war affected its tourism, and this year started without no fertilisers ON PURPOSE to develop organic or biologic agriculture, lots of energy blackouts, at the end the country debts were too much for the government to work. The outcome is lack of imports, lack of fuel, cooking gas, not even printing papers. Finally after the national currency just lose its value and the central bank had no foreign currency, people said enough and before long citizens have thrown away the leaders. The people there don't want the rest of politicians to continue but to make the country function and devolve the power to people who are honest and transparent. Imagine this in other places. It's always the same: power corrupts, absolute power corrupts even more. This is a learning for many countries. And for Sri Lanka for many years will be loaded with debts and poverty.
