There is this FATF (Financial Actions Task Force) funded by G7 has the mandate to combat any danger to the actual financial system. Problem: they see crypto as. a threat as it has come to eventually replace traditional financial system. They report always on regulations and even if they don't have authority, they have the power to blacklist countries who do not comply with the FATF recommendations. In this case FATF any privacy crypto is high risk. And that is the beginning. So when countries are just starting to think about crypto regulation already FATF is attempting to control everything. But the last report (explained by Guy) is an absolute nightmare for crypto. What comes from it, written already in FATF documentation is enough to make nervous any believer in a digital economy. This, in short, is a podcast which we need to watch with a pen and paper, make notes, and also tagging it so we can watch it again when the topic of regulation everywhere comes to the forefront. The old system doesn't want to get away in a whisper or in a boom. They want to stay and control, or put a dog collar to the new incoming economy, so they continue to be in power.
