If it works as intended, with time this means many people affected by various diseases who now can't have easy solutions will get some improvement. Translate this from the medicine field to other fields. Navigate your computer from your brain, without any hand input. Exchange information with other person through wifi connections between the implants... imagine an army force or engineers or doctors with implants to work better and faster as a team... we know this is part of one of the ways Transhumanism may go too. But we are yet far from that debate. We are just glad that this development offers solutions which improve humans.
