Francisco Gimeno - BC Analyst The actual situation of non equilibrium and rising tensions between powers like US and China is happening in a very bad timing, close to midterm elections in US and China seeing what happens in Ukraine while fighting its own internal problems in economy, logistics etc. China could use Taiwan for their domestic use, and US for the parties to both commit to protect Taiwan for electoral votings. This kind of rhetoric and steps, ambiguous are they are, do not help to ease the possibilities of a conflict China with Taiwan. In fact it goes to raise its possibility with a very negative global outcome. Most analyst believe China's plans are very long term and Taiwan is not yet in the agenda but this could change if they see the opportunity. US Navy is there and who knows what could happen. Let's pray for cool minds to manage this conflict in a peaceful way, and not see this managed by politicians who only see short term or populism, in both sides.
