Francisco Gimeno - BC Analyst While walking this evening (in an European city) we noticed some street lights were switched off, making streets darker and gloomier even in this summer time. The "news" are in fact already affecting our lives. Heating budgets for winter have increased a minimum of a 300% in some places. Factories in Germany which produce everything for many sectors will close due to energy increase costs, with all the global consequences. Aluminium smelters, key automobile factories depending on parts coming from other factories are working one week on one week off because they lack the parts that other companies are producing when they can if they can due to energy costs... we can continue with these gloomy news. Population in Europe seems to think we are living in a kind of pre apocalyptic time. And at the same time we all have to continue living the same life as we can, prepping for some hard times. Why? Because we humans are resilient, we have had worse times and we will come out from this too, whether is a short bad time or a long one. And we have to live with hope, rationality and common sense, which we also wish our governments could have too.
