Francisco Gimeno - BC Analyst Shifts happen sometimes suddenly. Despite US pressure to OPEC to pump more oil, which in the past was almost every time enough to make OPEC agree, this time OPECand non OPEC oil countries have decided the opposite. This, in economic terms, is like a huge slap in the face of US government, some even say they don't do this believing this decision is best for the economy, but as gesture against the US superpower from Oil States, some of them integrating now or wanting to come in, the BRICS block. The outcome for us, normal people, is higher oil and gas prices, more energy crisis more global problems. And real bad for US Democratic government in the face of midterm elections.
