Francisco Gimeno - BC Analyst This podcast is real optimistic about the Optimus robot proposal. Tesla (more than an automobile company), shows what they themselves call "wishful thinking" that a future economy where droid robots (humanoid robots) will affect productivity for better, help in a society of abundance, in a new economy (kind of Star Trek type). Cheap robots for general purposes, not just specific use robots like in factories. We will have to see. AIs in robots are just not powerful enough yet for an independent robot, economy and finances would be fundamentally changed, but history usually shows than unless very well controlled, long term it goes the other way, and the dystopian vision of a society where elites live free of problems helped by robots, while unemployed and poverty is rife around, with the "prole" just being excess, a part of the machine cog. Of course, nobody can stop changes so we will have to work for the best, and fight to create a new economy where humans and their creations live and interact properly. And this change is a huge long term process, so those in charge in 2050 will see the results of what has been started today by companies like Tesla.
