Francisco Gimeno - BC Analyst Happy New Year. Many societies think time is linear. But, even with the arrow of time going ahead, we humans base our societies in cycles. Our convention of New Year is one of them and, as many African societies understand, we go from one milestone to another celebrating, in this particular case, the renewal, the triumph of life, just that being alive is good. After the Pandemic (or let's say the worst time of the Pandemic up to now) we are trying to make the best of it, celebrate the strength and resilience of life. Even with wars and rumours of wars, and difficult times ahead, never lose the hope. We are one.
