After his bestseller “A Brief History of Humankind” perspicacious historian Yuval Harari looks to the future. In his book “Homo Deus” he says that the end of humankind as we know it is drawing nigh. He discusses with Barbara Bleisch what the new humans want.
Yuval Harari’s book A Brief History of Humankind was an international bestseller and was even recommended by Barack Obama, Mark Zuckerberg and Bill Gates. In his book, Homo Deus, the 41-year-old Israeli ups the ante and looks to the future: What will become of the human being, who at the beginning of the 21st century no longer wants to be human?
Now that the modern human has replaced their belief in God with a belief in themselves, they are on the verge of breaking through the barrier to becoming superhuman, God-like. Humans do not want to continue getting old and in Silicon Valley they are already tinkering away at the recipe for immortality and working on merging humans and machines to create super-intelligent cyborgs.
But will these upgrades make us happier? Or will the divide between the God-like Homo Deus and the traditional Homo Sapiens lead to deep divisions and new kinds of wars based on beliefs? And do we humans (still) have the choice?

Francisco Gimeno - BC Analyst Whether we agree with him or not, it is clear that the issues he introduce in his books are already urgent, and need to be thought, debated, and worked on. Disruption is becoming so strong, society and individual's anxiety is growing and predictions for future are full of dystopian signs. What are you, and I, we, all, going to do about it? Welcome to the debate.- 10 1 vote

Just reading his twitters we can learn lots on how we are looking for new solutions to new problems coming in the 4th IR economy. He is a very realistic person looking for solutions to the challenges found yet in the development of Blockchain and everything around it. Listen to him. What do you think?

Francisco Gimeno - BC Analyst We should listen more to Dr. Goertzel. He is basically telling us what the future is for us and our descendants. Explaining the blockchain and its importance for AI development. We don't want Ai controlled by big companies or States, and blockchain could be the solution to that.

Jorn van Zwanenburg Blockchain researcher & Tokenomist Dr. Goertzel is intriguingly intelligent and building a decentralized neural network to fuel his robots, definitely someone to follow over the years to come. Great interview

Francisco Gimeno - BC Analyst Harari does here what he is good at, a global humanist, explaining and making everyone think and revise everything in and around us, advocating self knowledge and that technology can be used to change the world in a positive way. He doesn't want us to agree or not with him, but to start a global discussion on how to tackle these problems of tomorrow, which are already coming to be in the present. What do you think?
