Rearing animals for human consumption and clearing land to grow their feed causes untold environmental damage. Mass-producing plant-based proteins could be equally unsustainable. Francisco Gimeno - BC Analyst Lab meat is already a fact. Not yet 100 percent agreeable to our eyes (sometimes is more a meat slush!), but with more development and commitment it will be the food of the future, for many reasons, principally to help solving the bad consequences of the impact on the planet by the whole cattle and chicken industry (which now can be ameliorated but not solved). A world with less cattle and where everyone can get enough protein without renouncing to meat is more attractive in these times of global upheaval over Earth stresses.
