Francisco Gimeno - BC Analyst Is correct to call the renewed interest for Africa from some superpowers a new "scramble for Africa" with all colonial connotations and the underline idea that is all open for them without any real benefit for the African countries and its citizens? Sure, there is yet a colonial mentality (actualised for the 21st century) all around, but it would be better if we see this as an opportunity for the continent to engage on an equal common path, to make the best from this, like connecting to the world, immerse in the 4th IR, etc. This time Africans understand the dangers of leaving the control of their own resources and lives in hands of others or being just passive players in the geopolitical fights of the superpowers.
