Of note: Nearly 40% of the natural gas Europe uses for heat & electricity came from Russia before the war in Ukraine started.

The outlook in Europe is grim and has deteriorated with surprising speed in recent weeks. The European Central Bank raised interest rates recently, with officials saying they expected a “substantial slowdown” there this fall. It’s too late! The damage has already been done!

One thing is sure: Europe is descending into poverty faster than any of us would have ever imagined!
