Francisco Gimeno - BC Analyst Crypto is having a role for the first time in history of the US elections. Propaganda and discourses abut digital assets, the differences between both candidates, can decide individual voters involved in crypto. It seems Democrats want a stringent regulation and Republicans more freedom to develop a more mature crypto market in a favourable regulatory framework. This said, both sides recognise the importance of having a constituency which uses crypto, can donate to their campaigns. This has led to greater political attention as candidates recognize the financial influence of the crypto sector.
Candidates are taking clear stances on issues like blockchain technology regulation, the status of crypto as securities or commodities, and oversight by the SEC and other agencies.
