  Francisco Gimeno - BC Analyst The Russian invasion and war with Ukraine is, unfortunately, a learning field for all world's armies about how to fight a conventional war in the 2020s. Any military expert understands that a war starts to be fought with the "last war mentality" and there is a learning curve to adapt to new tech, new moves, etc. Remember the horses against tanks at the beginning of the Second World War? The same is happening with the drone war. Every day these war drones are more compact, cheap and letal, and a new doctrine to fabricate anti drone weapons is developing. Tanks and vehicles get smashed by them, army units are decimated, and this is just the beginning. The method of fighting has changed, when your enemy launches thousands of drone against your positions, or tanks, or even ships. Have you seen the artistic drones in China, thousands of them creating beautiful figures in the sky? That is also a training for military drone drivers to handle thousand of them. The prediction is even worse when we think an AI specialised in defence and attack gets the autonomy to use these new weapons.... just imagine. And probably your imagination will fall short of the reality in the next future. Imagine drones in an authoritarian society which is AI trained to identify a particular individual for killing.... scary.
