Francisco Gimeno - BC Analyst Foresight’s departments in many big companies have nowadays a lot of work. The economy of tomorrow, as projected for 2025 and beyond, is shaped by three major factors for many: the rise of AI, the growth of megacities, and efforts to bridge the gender gap. These elements are poised to significantly impact global economic growth and societal structures. Artificial Intelligence is expected to be a major driver of economic growth, with substantial productivity gains, although at this time of the process we don’t really know the real impact. We are just living in the middle of the AI revolution. The second trend, the rise of megacities particularly in developing nations, will also have an impact on global economy, both for good with economic growth, and bad, like potential for faint slums and more inequalities. The last trend, closing the gender gap is very urgent and important as it could unlock lots of capital in economic potential. Despite challenges and barren any black swan, the economy of tomorrow will be shaped by technological advancements. The way we navigate the historical revolution we are living will mark the future.
