Francisco Gimeno - BC Analyst The future of work is here, and it's evolving faster than we thought. Here's what you need to know: Klarna, a fintech giant, replaced 700 employees with a single AI agent. Repeat: a single AI agent. Meanwhile, OpenAI's "Operator" project is set to launch in 2025, potentially flooding the market with billions of AI agents and it is expected that 41% of companies plan to cut their workforce in the next five years due to AI automation. Many working in white-collar jobs see this as doom and gloom, instead of proactively think on how to adapt and thrive in a new environment as the researchers also thinks that 70% of companies expect to hire people with AI tool knowledge so even if we lose jobs to AI agents, by 2030, we may see a net addition of 78 million jobs globally and AI is becoming an indispensable "apprentice" in various fields, from DevOps to cybersecurity. The key takeaway? Adapt or risk being left behind. It's time to upskill and embrace AI as a powerful tool to enhance our capabilities, not replace us entirely. We have something unique to us, our humanness which can’t be substituted by any AI. Even a future ASI being super intelligent, would be different from us, as we think that the loo for knowledge and innovation is also the look of what is true, beautiful and aesthetic. Maybe an ASI will think that too, but it will be in a very different way from us. What's your take on this AI revolution? Are you prepared for the workforce of 2025?
