Francisco Gimeno - BC Analyst The housing crisis around the world, particularly in America as seen here, sheds light on a hidden crisis exploiting vulnerable individuals, particularly students, in desperate need of affordable housing. The accusations are of predatory practices, where landlords are using online platforms to target students and others struggling to find housing, offering reduced or free rent in exchange for sexual favors. It’s a shocking abuse of power and a blatant violation of human dignity. This has a huge Human Cost, as behind these ads are real people, students, single parents, and low-income individuals, facing impossible choices between homelessness and exploitation. And sighting as this is it also shows a symptom of a larger issue: the lack of affordable housing and support systems for those in need.In some areas this has become even normalised. How disgusting is this. We need stronger regulations, better enforcement, and more affordable housing options to protect vulnerable populations. This documentary is a call to action for all of us, whether you’re a policymaker, educator, or concerned citizen, by raising awareness, advocate for change and support vulnerable communities in a way or another, is put the little we can in empathy and compassion joining hand to make us all stronger. What do you think.
