Donald Trump has announced he is deploying the National Guard to Washington DC in a bid to 'crackdown on crime' - as the US President claimed the murder rate was among 'the worst places on Earth'.

The President has also announced he will shortly be meeting Putin for Ukraine peace talks, and that Zelenskyy will not be attending.
