TYT is the largest online news network in the country. It presents news, context and analysis. We have dozens of on-air hosts on half a dozen major channels on almost all the platforms. We also have a live 24-hour news channel that features all our shows.
The Young Turks is the flagship show of the TYY Network. The Young Turks is the longest running daily show in internet history. We’re about to celebrate our 20th anniversary as a digital native show. We are also the first ever YouTube partner channel. So, we are the original YouTubers.
On the network, we do things a little differently than other places. We present the news first, with all of the facts and context you need, which is a rarity in commentary-heavy online shows. We then also give analysis and perspective, which is rare in traditional news.
Our commentary and perspective are almost always on the left, but we have an enormous range of opinions on the network. Hosts are allowed to think and say whatever they like. Perspectives usually range from the far left to the center of the political spectrum.
Now, our presence and range is large enough that we are adopting the tagline The Online News Network. Our longevity, our 27 million subscribers and 30 billion lifetime views allows us to make this claim confidently.
TYT emphasizes open-minds and open-hearts. We believe in fighting for the average American. We believe in challenging the powerful. We are vigilant about pursuing the truth to the best of our abilities and for always being honest with our audience. We’ve been proud to serve the internet for longer than any other news show or network. As one of the founding fathers and mothers of online media, we have always believed that digital media would become the dominant news source for all Americans. We’re thrilled that day is here and that TYT is where everyone can come to see The Online News Network.
TYT includes owned and operated and partner shows such as The Young Turks, The Damage Report, Indisputable, and more.

On the world stage, US President Trump casts himself as a peacemaker - most recently by rolling out the red carpet for Russia’s President Putin. But at home, he’s showing ever more autocratic tendencies.
He’s moving to give the National Guard greater authority in Washington, D.C., and to station armed troops in other American cities. At the same time, he and his party are redrawing electoral districts to lock in power, while critics face mounting pressure or dismissal. How do these hardline domestic maneuvers square with his peace-focused diplomacy abroad? Is it a striking contradiction? On To the Point we ask: Peace abroad, troops at home: Is Trump flirting with dictatorship?
Our guests: Brandon Bohrn (Bertelsmann-Foundation); Sudha David-Wilp (German Marshall Fund); Christoph von Marschall (Tagesspiegel);
Chapters:

1:45 Trump’s many contradictions
4:10 Does Trump have a strategy to broker peace?

Thousands of US troops are on warships heading to Venezuela’s coast. President Donald Trump says the move is part of his administration’s fight against drug cartels that the US has labelled terrorist organizations. In response, Venezuelan president Nicolas Maduro has ordered troops to the border and called on citizens to mobilize to defend the country. Is Trump’s aggressive move about fighting drugs or a signal of broader US intervention?

Join me as I chat with Logan Kilpatrick about Google's new Gemini 2.5 Flash Image model (Nano Banana), he showcases its capabilities for image generation and editing. We explore practical applications including creating marketing assets, product placement, and interactive experiences, all accessible through Google's AI Studio platform. The conversation highlights both the technical capabilities and business opportunities for developers or vibe coders to build innovative products with this technology.
Timestamps:
00:00 - Intro
02:34 - Nano Banana Overview
04:55 - Demo of AI-generated product ads
10:06 - Demo of Social Assets
11:41 - Demo AI-Generated Mockup Generator
15:05 - How to edit image with prompting
18:45 - Best Practices for Prompting
21:18 - Product placement demonstration
23:04 Three Levels of Using the Model
25:54 - Why you should start using Nano Banana now
Try Nano Banana: https://startup-ideas-pod.link/nano-b...
Key Points:
• Logan Kilpatrick demonstrates Google's new Gemini 2.5 Flash Image model (nicknamed "Nano Banana")
• The model excels at fast image generation and editing with impressive quality at low cost (about 4 cents per image)
• Multiple product applications are showcased including ad creation, image editing, and interactive experiences
• AI Studio provides free access to experiment with the model through chat and pre-built applications
• Developers can "vibe code" custom applications using the model's capabilities
1) What Makes Nano Banana Special
The SPEED of this model is a game-changer:
• Lightning-fast generation (seconds, not minutes)
• Only ~4¢ per image generated
• Powered by Gemini 2.5 Flash with extensive world knowledge
• Free to try at ai.studio/banana
"1000 images is just $40" - Logan
This opens up entirely new product possibilities!
2) AI-Generated Marketing Assets
The model EXCELS at creating professional marketing materials:
• Upload your product photo → transform into magazine ads, murals, subway posters
• AI generates appropriate marketing slogans
• Maintains brand consistency across multiple formats
• Perfect for small teams without design resources
I watched Logan turn a Google Pixel into a stunning urban mural ad in SECONDS!
3) Image Editing Capabilities
Forget complex Photoshop workflows:
• Natural language editing ("remove the logo")
• Multi-turn edits without quality degradation
• Precise area selection for targeted changes
• Apply filters and effects with simple prompts
The key? Be SPECIFIC with your instructions - treat it like working with a creative partner who needs clear direction.
4) Building Custom Tools
The real power comes from "vibe coding" your own apps:
• Create custom filters and editing tools
• Build product visualization experiences
• Design interactive content from static images
• Develop specialized marketing generators
Logan showed an example where his girlfriend used a custom app to preview 37 different curtain colors in her office before buying!
5) Three Levels of Using the Model
There's an entry point for EVERYONE:
Level 1: Simple chat interface for basic prompting
Level 2: Pre-built "vibe coded" apps in the Build tab
Level 3: Create your own custom applications
"The number of people who know this model exists and are building with it is limited. If you're early to the wave, there's a competitive advantage." - Logan
6) Business Opportunities
The market is WIDE OPEN for products built on this tech:
• Content remixing tools for the billions of unused photos on our phones
• Custom marketing asset generators for small businesses
• Product visualization for e-commerce
• Home design visualization tools
Most consumers haven't seen anything like this - showing them will "blow their minds."
7) Getting Started Today
• Try it FREE at ai.studio/banana
• Explore pre-built apps at ai.studio/apps
• Download and customize the code for your own projects
• Send feedback directly to Logan (his email is public!)
The team is actively improving the model based on real-world use cases.

ICE now has the biggest budget of any law enforcement agency in America.
“ICE and Customs and Border Protection have long been the most rogue, kind of renegade and certainly pro-Trump police agencies in the federal government,” explained Radley Balko, a journalist who’s covered policing for decades. “What I think we are seeing right now is Trump is attempting to build his own paramilitary force. They want people whose first, ultimate loyalty in this job is going to be to the president.”
Balko is the author of “Rise of the Warrior Cop: The Militarization of America’s Police Forces.” And he’s been tracking the changes at ICE and the Trump administration’s escalating law-and-order tactics on his excellent newsletter, The Watch.

Rachel Maddow looks at the big picture of high profile national security firings and the lowering of standards for entry to the FBI as part of an overall "deprofessionalizing" of the U.S. military and law enforcement, which suggests that Trump is intending to use those forces in a way that is different from what they've been trained for.

Dean Louis Is this what the United States has come to, that the land of the free and the home of the brave has been push so far that they, who usually take in refugees, are now themselves, considering seeking refugee status. How far we've come in less than a year, when the man so many thought would turn things around for the better, has managed, without flinching, to turn the US on it's head. It is rather bleak!!!

Wade Picolo Sales Executive at 4iRGPT It's surprising how few people realise that asylum laws are almost entirely structured around foreign nationals. The U.S. isn’t really designed to grant asylum to citizens even in extreme cases. So yes, it raises tough questions when a country is considered "safe," what happens when parts of it stop feeling that way to certain groups? This video hits that legal blind spot one that deserves a lot more attention.

Wade Picolo Sales Executive at 4iRGPT This is both surprising and quite sobering. While the numbers remain small (around 245 claims in Canada during the first half of 2025) the increase in Americans applying for refugee status signals something deeper like a breakdown in the feeling of safety within parts of the U.S. I think it is taken for granted that the U.S. is a haven but when citizens feel they’ve lost protection at home, it’s a powerful reminder of the fragility of rights. This isn’t just a headline, it’s a call to reexamine how trauma, identity, and policy intersect in shaping who feels safe and who doesn’t.
