Citi's bullish estimates come more than a month after Morgan Chase's and have been put together after consulting experts in the metaverse space. Francisco Gimeno - BC Analyst This is the first time in history that a global reserve fiat currency (the USD for s no) could be easily substituted not by another fiat, but by crypto, like Bitcoin. It seems that USD has started its historical decline, as it has happened before with other fiat currencies. Maybe the Bitcoin will be the substitute, or maybe another alternative currency. We are sure that China, for instance, will try its best to make its e-Yuan to dominate the digital finance as much as possible. The future of finance will be very much different to what we are used to now. Thanks again to Coin Bureau for a great and entertaining report.

A smart city uses information and technology to improve operational efficiency, share information with the public and improve government service and welfare to the citizens. The main features of a smart city are to optimize city functions and promote economic growth while enhancing its citizens’ lives.
In recent years, more African countries are pursuing mega smart city projects. According to recent research, Africa will be home to 2.4 billion people in three decades, more than doubling its current population, with the majority flocking to these smart cities. The number of Africans living in cities is expected to increase from 40% in 20 15 to 60% in 20 50, reflecting the highest urbanization pace in the world, surpassing even China.

Francisco Gimeno - BC Analyst The sanctions to Russia for its invasion of Ukraine have a double edge. They damage the Russian economy, finances, from the top to the last member of the Russian society. However, these global sanctions in the World map are not so global. It's Western countries, Japan, Australia and tradicional Russian enemies. The rest are neutral or against. On the other hand these sanctions are already affecting the Western Hemisphere, particularly Europe, but on the long term the whole world, due to the disruption (which started before in a slow mode) of supply chains, mineral and agricultural commodities, Russian gas to Europe, etc. Everything is in a flow, but the result of all of this is clear: accelerated disruption and problems everywhere.

China has a plan, and everything and everybody there is working for its success. So, what if they want to have a presence in the Artic? It's good for global commerce and trade, investment and aid. However, with its naval presence the State is behind, trying to settle for long term. They have the people, the means and the influence. Of course. Russia and USA will try their best to minimise this. Historically a process like this has brought both the good (investment and development to otherwise forgotten territories) and the bad (conflicts of control and power between the big powers). This is a very interesting decade.

Francisco Gimeno - BC Analyst China has passed from being a developing country to a developed nation in few decades. Their last big Plan for China has long term goals for everything and everybody. They are investing in themselves and their future generations, even when the State is an authoritarian regime involved in citizen control and social credit. Their energy plans are not different, it's a very ambitious plan, criticised by some, lauded by others. Let's not forget that they have a huge population, a big territory, and they produce huge amounts of products for global trade. The change to cleaner energy while yet feeding the population and the Chinese industrial needs is big. The 4th IR, with its technologies like AI etc will help too.

With different powers (like China) trying to get their presence everywhere, Ukraine conflict has worsened everything, and this is being noticed everywhere even where was not so noticed before, like in Europe. The solution is not easy. But, do we want to return to the former situation of a global supply chain where everything was short term, huge speed, where fruits could be harvested in one country, packaged in other continent and sold in a third one? Now we have the opportunity to create a better global supply chain, a new culture of sustainability and appreciation of everything, instead of a culture of easy replacement and planned obsolescence. Now is the time to use 4th IR tech like blockchain and AI to make a better global and local supply chain platforms, and to rethink everything from production to transport to delivery. Interesting times, indeed.

As Bitcoin's weekend rally erased its losses for the year, right now, "is a bad point to get into Bitcoin," says Gareth Soloway, president and CFO of InTheMoneyStocks.com In order to have a legitimate break to the upside, "bitcoin needs to hold at the $50,000 level," the expert technical analyst tells our Daniela Cambone. Soloway cautions investors seeking to invest into the cryptocurrency by asserting that, "you don't want to buy into resistance." Cryptos have had a massive run, he tells our Cambone when discussing rising altcoins, however, "it would be nice to see consolidation at this point." "Gold faces downside in the near-term," and the economy slowing aggressively in the second half of 2022 will only help the precious metal, he predicts. The Reddit meme traders are, "trying to recreate the magic," he says, as GameStop and AMC have been identified with bullish trends. Soloway concludes that the coming digital yuan will be the reserve currency of the world, "as the dollar is here to stay in the short-term, but will have issues long-term competing."

In part two of Jim Rickards' discussion with our Daniela Cambone, the NYT best-selling author said, "inflation can go a lot higher," because the Fed cannot do anything about supply shortages ranging from food to oil. Real wages are, "negative, they're going down," and with rising inflation, people will not spend money elsewhere which can slow the economy further, he asserts. If the Fed continues down its projected path of rate hikes, "then they will cause a recession, it will absolutely happen," Rickards predicts. He paints a grim picture of the coming digital dollar that can be seen as a, "totalitarian mechanism," comparing the new technology to a full surveillance state which is already being played out in China. "Bitcoin is part of a larger digital environment that has erased the concept of money," Rickards concludes, saying we are in a current state of "moneyness," due to the definition of money being unknown.
