The brain's job is not to pass a math test, get a promotion at work, or win a Nobel Prize. Our brain's only job is to make sure we survive today, and that we live to see another. Our brain' system worked well for us when humanity's only job was to hunt for food and fight for survival. But enter into the modern-day, our brain is not working so well as we have to rationalize problems like genetically modified foods and climate change.
This is something we have to accept about our minds and better understand how our brain works in order to better avoid pitfalls in the future. In the coming years, because of modern technology, we will be able to better identify weaknesses in our rationality and thought patterns. Once we flag these weaknesses, we can make changes to our thinking patterns so that our brains have the tools to make us more rational decision-makers.
So, how do we start thinking more rationally in the 21st century? Experts tell us that we will have to think from an outsider's perspective. To better adapt our fight or flight brains to the modern-day, we will have to step outside of our emotions, reframe our thoughts, and see things from a new perspective.

China is building a huge digital surveillance system. The state collects massive amounts of data from willing citizens: the benefits are practical, and people who play by the rules are rewarded.
Critics call it "the most ambitious Orwellian project in human history." China's digital surveillance system involves massive amounts of data being gathered by the state. In the so-called "brain" of Shanghai, for example, authorities have an eye on everything. On huge screens, they can switch to any of the approximately one million cameras, to find out who’s falling asleep behind the wheel, or littering, or not following Coronavirus regulations. "We want people to feel good here, to feel that the city is very safe," says Sheng Dandan, who helped design the "brain." Surveys suggest that most Chinese are inclined to see benefits as opposed to risks: if algorithms can identify every citizen by their face, speech and even the way they walk, those breaking the law or behaving badly will have no chance. It’s incredibly convenient: a smartphone can be used to accomplish just about any task, and playing by the rules leads to online discounts thanks to a social rating system.
That's what makes Big Data so attractive, and not just in China. But where does the required data come from? Who owns it, and who is allowed to use it? The choice facing the Western world is whether to engage with such technology at the expense of social values, or ignore it, allowing others around the world to set the rules.

The recent bullish momentum for Bitcoin is likely to be sustained because key technical levels have been breached, and the fear from China's tightening regulation has largely dissipated, said Florian Grummes, managing director of Midas Touch Consulting.
"We have a good chance to see $100k by the end of the year, maybe even higher. Of course, that would spark an altcoin season again. If Bitcoin really continues to run, I would say that the $60k $65k level is the last resistance of the bears. If there is nothing coming for them, then Bitcoin is off to the races and it could be $100k or even higher, $150k is possible towards January," he said.

A new Civil War? We don't think so... yet... as checks and balances continue working in that Republic. ❓ Who are FTX & Coinbase Pro? ❓
FTX was founded in 2017 and is headquartered in Hong Kong. This year they completed one of the biggest funding rounds ever for a crypto company. How have those funds been spent? Well, 100’s of millions have gone on high profile sponsorship deals. That marketing blitz has been FTX rise to the fourth biggest crypto exchange out there.
Coinbase has been around since 2012 - an eternity in crypto. Earlier this year they listed on the US stock market. That could be important for those that put stock in that sort of thing.
But where is Coinbase based? Well, they claim to be decentralized now, having moved to remote working over the last year or so. Also, Coinbase holds a ton of different licenses - key for those that like that regulatory compliance.
🔒 Security 🔒
Earlier this year, Coinbase had a hack that impacted upon 6,000 users. All users did have their funds reimbursed however which is worth noting.

🌍 Supported Countries 🌍
For those in the US, Coinbase supports every state except Hawaii. Outside of the US, over 100 countries are accepted. Also, over 100 coins and tokens are supported.
FTX, on the other hand, has a restricted country model. That includes most of the regular suspects on international naughty lists. Those from the US will have to use FTX’s dedicated US exchange.
💳 Funding Methods & Deposit Fees 💳
Coinbase offers deposit methods according to the country in which you reside. This includes Bank, PayPal and debit cards. However, you’ll pay nearly 4% to deposit with a card.
FTX offers bank deposits only. But they support a plethora of different currencies. So, many of you will avoid exchange rate fees.
📈 Trading Fees 📈
At Coinbase Pro you’ll start by paying 0.5% on maker and taker fees. That’s over 7 times more expensive than FTX who charge just .02% in maker fees and 0.07% in taker fees.

Blue Ribbon Day today, possibly bitcoin futures are exciting our newsroom today. While the first Bitcoin futures ETF in the U.S. had a spectacular opening on the New York Stock Exchange on Tuesday, with around US$280 million worth of shares in ProShares, Bitcoin Strategy ETF traded within 20 minutes. We're going to take a look at what's next on the ETF agenda and a whole lot more coming up.
First up, ProShares ETF knock out opening continued in that same fashion, with trading volume approaching US$1 billion by the end of the day. And eager to get on the bandwagon, Grayscale Investments filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission to convert its Bitcoin Trust into a Bitcoin Spot ETF amid a turbo boost to the industry from these ETF developments. As of the time of this recording, Bitcoin inches ever closer to an all time high. ProShares Bitcoin Strategy ETF went live on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker BITO, but one expert told Forkast.News, that as the ETF will only trade for the seven hours per day that the New York Stock Exchange operates; it has limitations. All of this has said Bitcoin's price on a tear hovering within 2% of its all time high. The price was at just under US$64,000 Wednesday midday Asia time.
Meanwhile, an Australian Bitcoin trader dumped by his banks is continuing to raise a ruckus.
Allan Flynn is forging forward with his crusade against being debanked because of his occupation as a trader of Bitcoins. Having been debanked around 20 times, Flynn decided to do something about it. And using anti-discrimination laws that only apply in Australia's capital territory.
He has already settled a case with ANZ Bank. Westpac is next on his list. Allan Flynn started Canberra Bitcoin, offering managed transactions on an escrow platform in July 2017, but he ceased operations in December 2019 as his bank accounts kept being shut down despite his business being lawful. Prior to the hassle and customers losing trust in him, he set out to find a solution that appeared in the form of the ACT's 1991 Discrimination Act, which considers a profession to be a protected attribute unless discrimination is reasonable under the circumstances. Flynn settled his case with ANZ before it went to tribunal, and his hearing with Westpac is set to begin on Thursday. Debanking's also on the agenda for the Australian Senate Select Committees inquiry into fintech regulation. But Flynn told Forkast.News that while he was heartened by Senator Andrew Bragg saying policy will be implemented, his cynical over what it will achieve. Well, this settlement, an upcoming tribunal, mark a milestone in Australia's debanking story. Industry watchers remain skeptical any true change to banking practices will emerge as a result.
And finally, we started the show talking Bitcoin approaching another high. Well, as we end this report, Bitcoin is in another respect, also hitting a high in mining difficulty. In fact, Bitcoin mining difficulty has hit its highest level since the May 30th adjustment. According to data from BTC.com Tuesday's adjustment saw the bitcoin mining difficulty increase by 0.95%, close to 1% there. The difficulty level saw four consecutive decline immediately after China intensified its clampdown on the sector in May, remember that. But this is the seventh increase in a row since then. These adjustments are highly correlated to changes we're seeing in the mining hash rate, which, as you may know, refers to the level of computing power required to mine. The more difficult mining is less profitable it becomes, and when the hash rate increases, mining difficulty typically follows. Now, according to data from Blockchain.com, the hash rate began a nosedive mid-May, plunging from an all time high of just over 180 million tera hashes per second to a low of almost 85 million tera hashes per second at the beginning of July. Now, on Tuesday, that reading was back up to 144.4 million tera hashes per second. Now, China may be slowing down, but the U.S. is picking up the slack. It's recently emerged as a mining hotspot, with data from the Cambridge Center for Alternative Finance showing that the U.S. accounted for 35.4% of the global hash rate chair at the end of August. That is a huge leap, up from the 16.8% it commanded in April.

Francisco Gimeno - BC Analyst Supply chains issues around the world is hitting the globalist idea of manufacturing products in one country, packaging them in another and sending them to a third country to be sold. The Pandemic and other problems have got together and now we are getting a bottleneck with supply chains which goes beyond politics. This needs a whole revamp and rehab about how we can rely on the old manufacturing process offshore or not, the whole use of cheap labour to get cheap goods, and transport and infrastructures, and this needs to be done as soon as possible. Otherwise this bottleneck will continue and will bring more strains to an already sick global economy. For most of the world this can be a national security problem. Imagine a landlocked country which depends on others to get enough food for its citizens, for instance. For US, it could easily mean rebuild their own local manufacturing if this is possible with the 4th IR development.

The demise of the Fed is coming, and with the collapse of the current monetary system comes the adoption of Bitcoin as the new global reserve currency, said Gareth Soloway, chief market strategist of IntheMoneyStocks.com.
"What I'm actually calling for is a total collapse of the monetary system, actually. So, there will have to be a reset. And I do think that what we're going to go through as a country, as a world, is something that's going to equal if not worse than 1929 in the thirties of the Great Depression, it is going to be cataclysmic. But from its dust, Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies will rise and be the future of society," Soloway told David Lin, anchor for Kitco News, at the Future Blockchain Summit in Dubai.

Francisco Gimeno - BC Analyst Bitcoin on the rise (after being called dead for the nth time not so long ago), a possible Bitcoin EFT, and (is a real idea? a conspiracy theory?) financial reset whereby we pass to only digital and crypto to be better controlled (maybe they don't really understand crypto). The 4thIR disruption should be positive and not destructive. Maybe we should have a Great Awakening and not a Great Reset. What do you think?
